Abstract
Based on data from the Global Burden of Disease, the estimated low back pain sufferer in the world in 2017 was 577 million people. Sitting for long periods of time can last for hours or even months, which will have a negative impact on students, one of which can experience Low Back Pain. This online learning activity allows students in Indonesia to sit in front of learning media such as laptops for hours which can cause Low Back Pain so that students have to pay more attention to the correct sitting posture rather than Low Back Pain. Low Back Pain is pain that is felt in the lower back or in the spinal area. Low Back Pain is a disorder that often occurs in adults and young people. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between sitting posture and the incidence of Low Back Pain in level I and II students at Sari Mulia University, Banjarmasin. Methods: This study uses quantitative methods using correlation analytic design, data analysis using univariate and bivariate using chi-square, sampling technique is total sampling, the total number of samples in this study is 120 respondents. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between sitting posture and Low Back Pain (P-value = 0.432 <0.05). Simulation: This study shows that there is no relationship between sitting posture and Low Back Pain.
